Zhu Wei, deputy secretary of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Guangdong Province, first delivered a speech. Mayor Zhu said that Foshan, as an important manufacturing production base in the country and a well-known aluminum profile industry cluster, has established a production, technology, logistics, exhibition, and information exchange. With a complete industrial chain system with an international cooperation platform, there are more than 200 aluminum profile companies with an annual extrusion capacity of more than 460 million tons, accounting for more than 25% of the national counterparts.

Zhu Wei said that governments at all levels strongly support the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries such as aluminum profiles, moving towards intelligent manufacturing and highlighting product quality advantages. He hopes that Foshan enterprises will fully grasp the opportunity of this annual meeting, digest and absorb new theories, new technologies, and new processes, combine scientific and technological innovation with the spirit of craftsmanship, create a new industrial ecology, and promote the high-end development of the industrial chain and value chain. Foshan aluminum has reached a new level and made new contributions to the economic development of Foshan and even the whole province.

Lu Jiyan, director of the Aluminum Processing Professional Committee of the Guangdong Nonferrous Metals Society, said in his speech that this year marks the 40th anniversary of my country's reform and opening up. With the deepening of reform and opening up, a large number of private enterprises in Nanhai, Foshan are surging, which quickly created the giant industrial cluster of China's construction aluminum profiles in Nanhai, Foshan, and formed the industrial pillar enterprises of Nanhai, Foshan, which are gradually occupying the right to speak in the field of technology in China and the world.

However, China's aluminum industry needs further development. The country's "One Belt One Road" strategy and the promotion of the association's expansion of aluminum applications have brought huge market benefits to the national aluminum processing enterprises. It is hoped that aluminum processing enterprises across the country will adopt new technologies, implement new processes, arm new equipment, eliminate toxic and harmful processes, and fully realize green processes. The raw and auxiliary materials of the production process are recycled and reused, and the production process fully realizes the green process and truly manufactures green products.

Under the banner of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the new era, we will inherit the glory of 40 years of reform and opening up. Strive hard, work hard, take meeting people's aspirations for a better life as the foothold of technological innovation, seize the trend, play the "first move" well, and bravely seize the industry peak.

Yu Wei, Deputy Director of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out that China's aluminum profile industry is developing rapidly, and the application of aluminum materials continues to expand. However, there are also problems and challenges such as oversupply of mid to low end products, insufficient supply of high-end products, and intensified international trade frictions. The industry needs to further adapt to the new situation and accelerate transformation and upgrading. This conference, combined with the new situation and characteristics of the aluminum processing industry, will help the industry strengthen cooperation and develop together.

Chen Quanxun pointed out in his speech that Guangdong, as the forefront of China's reform and opening up, has opened the curtain for the vigorous development of the aluminum processing industry in the South China Sea. Nowadays, the South China Sea aluminum processing industry has gained influence, created a brand, gone abroad, and developed into the most important and well-known aluminum processing industry base in China. I hope and believe that the aluminum processing industry in the South China Sea will continue to rely on its own advantages, strive to be at the forefront of the new era, promote the development of China's aluminum processing industry, achieve the three major changes, and play a new exemplary and leading role.

President Chen stated that the next few years will be a critical stage for China's aluminum processing industry to transform from large to strong, and also a critical period for the industry to shift from high-speed growth to high-quality development. He put forward several hopes for the aluminum processing industry:

We must firmly establish the awareness of "three firsts" and comprehensively promote the high-quality development of industries.

Secondly, we need to focus on key areas and bottlenecks, and strive to address the shortcomings in the industry's development.

We must strengthen communication and exchange, avoid disorderly competition, and actively respond to trade frictions.

We must unwaveringly expand the application and continuously step up to new heights on the basis of existing achievements.

After the leader's speech, the conference also held the "2017 (3rd) Top 10 and Top 20 Chinese Construction Aluminum Profile Enterprises Awarding Ceremony", commending 23 outstanding Chinese aluminum profile enterprises.

The 2018 China Aluminum Processing Industry Technology Innovation Exchange Conference analyzed the macroeconomic background of the non-ferrous metal processing industry and the development of the aluminum processing industry. By focusing on the discussion of environmental standards innovation in production processes such as casting and surface treatment in the aluminum profile industry, it further highlighted the key to the application of aluminum alloys in lightweight transportation, green construction and home furnishings, intelligent manufacturing equipment, and research and development of new aluminum alloy materials. To meet the urgent demand for green and environmentally friendly technologies in the current aluminum processing industry, it plays an important guiding role in connecting the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

The 2018 (3rd) China Aluminum Processing Industry Materials Institute and Research Institute Dean Forum, based on the theoretical technology obtained from current scientific research experiments, focused on sharing the latest research results and experiences in high-performance deformed aluminum alloy materials, large-scale cold-rolled aluminum plate and strip production control technology, and complex aluminum alloy component extrusion forming technology, providing a solid theoretical foundation for the development of industry university research application in aluminum processing.
